Alex and Miss Hickory

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Alex's mamma made this little doll for Alex. She's made of a hickory nut, mullein leaves, pinecone pieces and other things from nature. Mamma took snippets of her hair, along with a bit from Shoe and from Alex, and made the doll's hair with it. What a neat treasure to take with her on her trip. I was so glad to meet Alex, and I know her mamma must be a special lady to think of something like Miss Hickory for her daughter. :) I know Shoe was bustin' his shirt buttons right off when he told us what a smart kid she is, too.

That sure is one special doll for a very special, beautiful girl. Alex was such a treat and just like I pictured her. I think she had a great time.

She and Bethany played forever on Saturday. They were great together and she seems as gentle natured as her Daddy.

Alex is an extremely pretty little soul.

Miss Hickory is also a wonderful present to bring along from her Mammy.

Well done family 'Shoe'

I did not get to spend much time with Alex but it was easy to see what a wonderful and sweet child she is. It was also easy to see how much her father loves her. The kids could not get over how long her hair is. :)
