I was reading some articles on the web about heirloom tomatoes after doing a search at google. I read something that kind of discouraged me and I want to know if it's true or not. I hope it's not. The writer said that heirloom tomato plants must be babied because they're not very disease resistant. He also said that the yield from heirlooms is _much_ lower and so a person must plant a lot of plants to make up for this. Is this all baloney or is it true? Thanks.
