    This ground cover also grows wile at Roadrunner's sons house. I believe Cala said it might me partridge berry? I think the told me it gets red berries on it and the leaves are about the size of fingernails.

    Sure looks and sounds like Mitchella repens (Patridge Berry) to me - I have some growing in a pot, but mine didn't flower this spring, so no berries yet. Same markings on the leaves, same leaf size, same sprawling habit...
