My first tomato of the season has finally ripened! It's just shy of 2 months late. I'm so thrilled that I'm actually going to have a harvest that I broke with tradition and this little feller actually made it into the house for it's photographic debut here at DG.Usually the first of the season is eaten right where I pick it standing in the garden...preferably barefoot.
It is Jaune Flammee'...always early for me in normal seasons too.About the size of a golfball and I'll report on it's taste later...had to share the news!
I've got fair fruit set...not abundant, but respectable. The temps have been so high that it's not surprising.Things have moderated in the last few days,so I'm looking for a second wave.
Mel...doing the ripe tomato happy dance...
