Shirley, is this the true pink? The larger flowering version of this is "Pink Giant" and the smaller flower, but with the same coloration is "Mauve Queen"...hope this helps...Elaine

Yes, hot pink is the true color with a burgundy colored center.

The color reminds me of a plant I have called cistus, or rock rose.

I'm not familiar with "rock rose", but my shurb is definitely a Rose-of-Sharon.
