I went through all of the trials and tribulations of mothering my own children. Now to my surprise I'm helping to raise my grand daughter (joint custody and guardianship).
I'm always looking for new and interesting projects to do with my 2 year old. Together we started a vegetable garden and its been great fun. Oh yes, gramma's memory is not what it used to be so we are now making plant markers using paint stir sticks from Home Depot. We cut out pictures of flowers and vegetables and decoupage them to the primed paint sticks. Next I varathaned the markers for water protection. This weekend we are putting them into the veggie beds. The best part was how much fun we had together doing this and the bonus is she now knows the names of so many things she eats and points to the different veggies at the supermarket and can say their names!!!
This weeks project is to decoupage bird houses with the appropriate birds on the houses.
