Isn't this precious? My friend gave me some starts of it last year for our planter box. Now, tell us what it is! Hope this comes through okay; I've been trying to reduce my file sizes, but I'm not always getting them right! ":o)

Looks like veronica, maybe veronica repens?

It's similar to Veronica, but I don't think that's it. The pictures I've seen of it don't quite look like it. Doggone it. My friend was over today and she a friend gave her a start of it years ago and she's never seen it in any catalogs. She's as anxious to know as I am! :o)

I take that back...I think it could be Veronica peduncularis. My scan made it look more lavender, but it's really pretty blue. Here are a few varieties I found...

    V. peduncularis 'Georgia Blue', named after the republic of the former Soviet Union. http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/item.asp?p=557

    V. peduncularis 'waterperry'. The flowers are very similar, but this one's 3" tall compared to mine - which is about 10-12" tall.
