I just got back in from doing my garden inspection. Looks like I have a cutworm loose among my tomatoes I planted yesterday. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I _hate_ those darn things. I found 2 tomatoes chewed off at the soil line. I was in such a hurry yesterday that I didn't take my usual cutworm precaution...wrapping the tomato stems with aluminum foil. So guess what I'll be doing tonight in the garden with my flashlight? Yup, you guessed it! I'll be digging up 73 tomato plants and wrapping them with tin foil so that it is 2 inches above and 2 inches below the soil line. I'm afraid that if I don't do it tonight, I'll wake up to 73 dead tomato plants in the morning. I'm hope I come across that "tomato murderer" while I'm out there in the garden. You can bet the last thing he'll hear is SPLAT! LOL
