I am wondering if anyone has tried storing shovels and such in the bucket of sand with oil?? I have seen several shows where they tell you to fill a bucket/five gallon bucket with coarse sand and some type of oil. You then plunge your shovels, tools, etc. into the bucket and the sand cleans them and the oil prevents rust. I have to admit I am a horrible tool mommy and leave mine lay all over the place. What is the best sand and what type of oil?? Do you just clean yours then store them or leave them in the bucket?
