Thunder and lightning here this morning. I saw the tractor lights going after dark in the bottoms last night. They know when the rain is coming and seem to really work late trying to plant corn. Cause they will have to wait a few more days before they can get back in there. It's creek bottom land and takes a while to dry out.
The first year we moved out here there were a few mounds of red clover growing in the yard that I mowed around. I thought it was so pretty and this country girl just can't mow down a good little stand of red clover. ok , so I am really behind on the mowing and last night I told myself that clover is coming down. It's really spread after several years of letting it go to seed. Course in bloom it's great stuff, It attract butterflies and about every insect you can name. Thinking to myself as a kid I remember I thought another lady must be crazy to mow miles and miles of roadside and go around every little sprig of daisies on the road. Now I am a little crazy, but try to hide it I suppose. There were butterflies, lots of butterflies on these things last night. But what stopped me from mowing it down? A bumblebee. A lumbering bumblebee. I always tell myself I think lawns are kinda silly anyway. Who said we have to mow grass or clover or whatever.
Patty, No prob with the water witching. I think I can do it now. Let me know.
