Will have to take a pic and post, but here is the story. I had this orchid (it bloomed and then eventually died off). I stopped giving it any attention including water for months (I am talking 6-8 mos). I just never got around to pitching it! Good thing cause last week I noticed two new shoots from it. One is about 3/4 up the dead-brown vine, it is green, sticking out sideways and the bottom has what appears to be white roots just sticking out. There is another shoot at the bottom, barely looks attached to the original stem. That one is also about 3" long with white roots at the end.
I'll post a pic soon. Do they normally go dormant or what? Should I pull off the new growth and repot?
