We bought some of the Target store-brand Febreez stuff, and it worked great. I was wondering if any of you have home-made concoctions for freshening linens and lessening pet odors. The store-brand is less expensive, but still fairly costly if a cheaper alternative is available.

Our dog had medical problems for a while, and now she has gotten into the habit of using one area of our livingroom carpet for her business. We've been successful in keeping her from the area, but with the humid weather upon us, it's preeeeetty baaaad! I've soaked the area in an enzyme product as well as soaking it with baking soda and water, and vacuuming it up later.
