Has anyone ever grown Shoepeg or Country Gentleman corn?
I'm trying it for the first time this season, but am not sure it will ripen in time (before frost). The stalks look great, but ears haven't fully formed. It's an heirloom w/ very irregular kernal formation, not in rows, and looks kind of like popcorn, but it's supposedly best for roasting. Here's a photo I found of it. I'll post my own if it ever ripens.
