MarciaG...Thank you so much

Marcia...The box arrived and everything is planted! I couldn't believe how many plants you sent! Thank you! I read your letter about transpiration, but I can't find anything in my gardening books defining it. Could you give me a little more info regarding it?

Glad that you enjoyed the box. I am sure that you got my answer at e-mail. Transpiration is moisture lost through plants into the air to keep plants cool and the leaves from drooping . It can be fatal to a re-plant, especially if mature plant;with the shock, the plant cannot take in enough water to compensate for root disturbance. That is why I give mine overhead shade for several days, if it is sunny. This week-cold and rainy and in the 50's won't have to leave it on so long; last week in the 80"s, I had the tent on for several days. I have lost very few blooming transplants using newspaper shades on garden stakes.
