This is my first year with baby hostas I sprouted from seed. It's been very interesting...they sprouted easily and plentifully, grew their second leaves (this was in the house at the south windows). I took them to the greenhouse, repotted, put them in the shade and they all turned yellow and some even died (I thought). So, I stuck them under the bench and forgot about them. They turned green and the dead ones came back. Now they are growing like crazy, but in the dark. I've been thinking about this. The natural life cycle of a baby hosta would be under mama's leaf so to speak and it would be dark. I'm curious now about what is going to happen next. Anyone have any experience growing baby hostas?
