I got the purple one from you and its doing great. All my others didn't do so good with the heat and drought this year so I would say this one is more tolerant of drought because where it's planted I really didn't try to water to much. eyesoftexas Toadsuck, TX (Zone 7a) October 13, 2002 07:42 PM Post #384220 Well it looks great!! It's bloomed off and on all summer. But now its really doing good all the rain we been getting gave it a nice drink after all the dry spell I guess. Mine is about the same size, and, like you, I didn't trim it last winter either. I notice this plant blooms only on new growth, however, and it had much fewer blooms this year than last. This winter, I'll be cutting it to the ground to force all new growth next spring.
