One of my Althea's or Rose of Sharon when I lived in Alabama. I now have over 250 plants from the two parent trees. Hummingbirds come visit my yard every year, and this is the favorite plant! And the keep bringing all of their family and friends with them each year. What a pleasure!
I live in Toronto and The Rose of Sharon handle the weather well. Last year I had well over 200 blossoms on my mauve and the same with my white. This year I planted the seeds and while I have growth they are not doing much. Will keep you informed.
