Oh, George4tax! This is one I've been wanting to grow. It's on my list of seeds to buy for next spring! Campanulas like our cool soil and moist summers. So, this one does well in CA? It gets pretty warm where you are doesn't it?
I am in Northern Silicon Valley. Summers are generally in the 70's and 80's with a few days in the 90's seldom hits 100. The area the picture shows is bothered by a daily breeze from the San Francisco Bay out into the hotter Livermore Valley. I have a hard time getting some things to grow in that area due to the wind evaporating all of the water I try to get out there. Otherwise my winters are generally in the 50's due to the Pacific influence.
