We recently bought one single leaf,which looks like this variety,for our fish pond.Looks like its surviving well,my guestion is how does it expand itself?Since we purchased it,it has sprotted other roots from the underside,does this have to attach itself to the bottom to grow other leaves?
I've heard from a specialist on aquatic plants that Nymphoides indica spreads abundantly in warmer climates, and it may completely take over pounds. I don't know if it spreads by rhyzomes, or some other vegetative ways, or by seeds, though.
I believe it has to be rooted on the botton to keep growing
