What a charming little flower this is! It looks like a child's drawing. I think I might try these as an annual next year. Do they take a long time from germination to bloom?

Hi Weezinggreens,

It depends.. mine did'nt need so much time from germination (very easy) to bloom. But what I did is sowing them very early inside, so they had a large pre-start. After letting them get used to outside temperature I planted them out. Mine started slow, but climbed very fast later on and bloomed lovely.

Bye,

I bought mine at a produce market, believe it or not, they sell plants there. I hope it can over winter. I did not try seeds, since I am a black thumb with seeds more or less. I do Poppies and things that are hard to buy in cells.

I have the opposite problem, Bug_Girl. I can get almost any seed to germinate, and I can transplant with a high success rate, but the seedlings always seem to do better in someone else's garden. Too bad we don't live closer, we could collaberate!

LOL We really should. I can generally grow larger seeds, and poppies in some cases, depends on the brand and type of poppy. I guess it could be your outdoor conditions if you starting them inside? But, even if I start inside, they often never make the transplanting.
