When I got invited to the Marine Corps Ball I had to have a formal dress...and haven't had one in years! It was alos the month that I had the most bills to pay too! My DD & I made the rounds of all the Thrift Stores...finally finding this dress at the Salvation Army Store...priced at $15.50. Ok...not bad! BUT...it was half off day...so I ended up paying $7.42 for the dress. Now of course I had to have it dry cleaned...another $15.25...total for the dress: $22.67!!! It is a DEEP purple satin. I borrowed my DD's black velvet jacket to wear with it. The good news is that the dress will fit her for her next party! Jo
