I see your is very short and blooming. I have one which is eight feet tall and is just now blooming for the first time. I received it from a friend who had it since 1995. How can I reproduce this plant?
I am amazed @ this plant. I had no idea that it bloomed. I have had it for about 7yrs & its the first time its bloomed. I first noticed it about a week ago. I wasn't sure what it was at first. A few days later I was walking upstairs into my bedroom and was overtaken by a strong, honeysuckle like scent. It was the plant! I don't do anything to it except for water it when it appears dehydrated. I am in awe of it! Are these plants rare?
Anyone have any ideas on what to give one of these when the tips of the leaves turn brown? I've had this one for a few years. Hubby found it abandoned and brought it home. It started growing leaves near the bottom, back in the fall and now the top looks horrible. What kind of fertilizer does it need?
I saw these corn plants for sale at the International Market in Lilburn too. The didn't look so hot though...
Hi, I have just purchased a "janet craig" after 3 months it started to bloom, it smelled like gardenias or hooneysuckles to me. It took only 3 weeks to be almost completely bloomed & with a very nice but STRONG scent. We live in an apartment & in any room it was to strong so I trimmed the bloom down to about an 8th of what it was & put the remining blooms on napkins through out my apartment. My husband thought it was a glade plug in & it's not so potent as, I could not take it in one room my husband said he could barley smell it.
