First year planting malva sylvestris, Zebrina, and a few of her sisters. So far, doing well - even with heavy VA rains! Is deadheading necessary and are chances good they will overwinter in zone 7?? Any info is appreciated!!! Thanks

Hi, Joshuatoo. Yes, I should think they'd winter over just fine in your area. In fact, they may also reseed like crazy if you give them a spot to do so. I've never deadheaded mine, and they just keep on blooming until the frost gets them.

This is pretty but you are so right it seeds everywhere.

BTW, the anchusa you sent seed to me is blooming, a white one and two that are pink/blue together. So pretty, think of you each time I see it. Thanks.

Oh, I'm so glad, Lenjo! I've been so busy I haven't been posting very much, but I still plan to take pics of the plants I've grown from DGer seeds!
