Another common name for this plant (and I need to have it added) is Four Petal or Fourpetal St John's Wort. This plant is a US native while the common St John's Wort, H perforatum, is an introduced species.
I rescued a couple of these from what is now an airport runway (with proper permissions, permits, escorts, etc. etc.) and put them in my water garden. Very pretty little plants.
Mandy, could you maybe fill in some of the blanks on this in the PDB...I only just found this plant recently and couldn't fill them in myself. Thanks!!
