I'd like to know how quickly this Poinciana tree grows in a tropical region, what type of fertiliser is needed and is it considered 'messy'or a high maintenance tree when the flowers drop.

I would like to know any info about raising these trees from seed. I have four trees started from seeds and are about 18" tall. What should I fertilize with, how much, how much water? When should I set them out in to the ground, right now they are in huge planters.

Container plants can be transplanted any time, but with huge planters you run the risk of breaking the root ball, so I'd wait until they shed their leaves, best time would be in spring. They are very fast once in the ground requiring moderate fertilization, a bit messy when they drop their flowers and leaves.
