That's a beauty! I've got one, but haven't figured out the right exposure for it yet. Any ideas?

I bought a Lucky Bamboo in a sml. ceramic container, in water in 2001. It lived fine until last summer it started to yellow on tips. I changed the water per. instruction. It has continued to yellow and has almost quit growing. Do you think it would help to plant it in soil? If so what mixture?

Yes plant them. I've got mine in regular potting soil. I bring them inside during the winter and in the shade outside in the summer.

I have a ribbon plant as well..well actually more like 10, since I was conducting an experiment, and once i was finished, i had 5 yellow plants, and 5 well growing, healthy plants. THat was a couple of months ago, and ever since then ive been giving them all plant food and fertilizer, and are now all healthy :)

I am glad it is being shown as what it is, and not a "Bamboo" plant, "Bamboo" grows very quickly and out grows most pots within a year or two, it has to be repotted quite often and kept well clipped into smaller sections in the the pot it is grown in.. I have used "Dracena" plants in my fish tanks for years , they grow very well in the freash water fish tanks, (as they are aquatic loving plants ). Dracenas were very popular for many years in doctors offices some years ago.
I have the stripped red ribbon one, and the pure green one right now.
I have had the one called "Corn Plant" growing in large conatainers and it get rather huge if well taken cared of and gives many baby plants as it grows so nicely in the home . I am glad it is shown to be a "Dracena " and not a "Bamboo". I have always had a "Dracena Marginata" in my home since I was a youngster. Dracs are a good mainsty in hme plants I am glad they got a revival in popularity.
