This is a beautiful bromeliad! I've had one for years, but it never bloomed after I bought it. I looked for tips on blooms -- and found out about fish emulsion. I didn't think it was working, but here it is, about a year later, and I have a big beautiful bloom! There are 3 more 'children' in the pot, too. Guess I will keep using the fish emulsion...and maybe have lots of big beautiful blooms! I live just inland from the coast in southern California, so I don't know if that has anything to do with why I didn't get blooms without help.
