Hi Eloopj, That is a beautiful plant I have one about half that size. I am having problems with the leaves turning brown on the edges, they are dry and crusty. The soil doesn't dry out completely. What is your secret!!

Would you believe mine is growing in water only. The leaves were doing the same thing. I cut off some runners and put them in water about 6 month ago and that's the results! Try changing out the dirt and give some fresh nutrients.

Water only ,well that has really done well for you!! How often do you change the water? Do you add plant food to the water also? I think i will try that, see what kind of luck i will have. Thanks eloopj

I change the water every other month. I do add a little food to the water.

I heard or read somewhere that this plant can be used in fish aquariums. I'm skeptical, but maybe it will be happier in water than in soil. Perhaps I'll try a sprig in the fish tank just for the heck of it. Peace lily can be grown in water only. I had a beta fish in the base (you can buy kits for this now where the plant sits in a little pot with the roots dangling through into the water and the fish swims around below).

I got mine from a friend who keeps the arrowhead in with her beta. I've kept mine and my peace lily in water also and they both do great. The fish water is excellent for the plants and they like to swim around in the roots.

I have one of these which is double that size. It's under my patio--next to my back door. Loves the water BUT I find that the iron in our water may have something to do with the discolor of the leaves. I put my water out and leave it set 24 hours before I water my plant. DEPENDS on your water---I guess!!!!
Have given lots of clippings off of this plant. Only makes the plant bushier!!!!

I have some growing in water and some in dirt. The leaves do that as it grows. I do not put mine in direct sunlight, I have it on the other side of the room from the sun!

I admire this plant as I had from for several years that my mother gave to me. I have since had to leave it behind and have asked the person who has/had it to send me a cutting but he hasn't done that. Would it be possible to get a cutting of this plant from anyone who has one and has replied to this site? I would greatly appreciate it and pay for shipping, etc. Could someone, anyone, who has this plant, email me at jjennsing at excite dot com? Thank you very much.
