One of my very most favorites. I read it over and over. He is a Texas author but his philosophy goes way beyond his region. If you would like to go down the Brazos river with him you will learn much about why I love Texas. I love all his work. There's a new one coming out this year with Wyman Meinzer's photos titled "Rivers of Texas". Gotta have it...

I pick a lot of books just because of the name and this book was one of them, been awhile since I read it, but I can still go down the river.
