In your PHOTO it looks like your tree has LEAVES on it while its flowering. I was told these Tree's FLOWERED BEFORE the Leaves came out...was I given incorrect information? Do they flower with Leaves at the same time???
(Mines doing well here in 5 B)...2nd year and its almost 15 feet tall now..*Its in the ground, not A POT..I DON'T BRING IT INSIDE...
I covered it up last year with 2 layers of a light weight white mess bag... it wont be THAT EASY to cover it this fall because of its height. But I am not taking any chances with it...I'm going to cover it with 2 large white blanket during the late fall and all winter long... I'll remove the blankets in late march or early April like I did this year...if it makes it through the winter this time I SHOULD Finally get to see the purple flowers next year... that's what I'm hoping for anyway.
