I am a very new gardener and am very new to DG. I have a question about Peonies. Can they be planted in containers? As a child my mother always had them and I want to start a couple (already bought them). But, we are not finished with our patio. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Cricket Hill Garden has a detailed cultural guide for peonies. They offer instructions for potting them up.

Cricket Hill is listed in the Watchdog, and peonies are all they sell.

This is their web site:

Good luck.

Hey, thank you very much for the information. I took a quick look at their web site and it is exactly what I was looking for.
