Dear Kelly,
This is realy the right plant with the right name.
Congratulations that doesn't happen very often.
Do you have an idea what cactus is crossing the pict from the right under corner to the left uppr, and what globular cactus is growing in the left upper corner??
Greetings,
Albert

The plant in the lower right is an ocotillo (Fouquieria splendens), which is not a cactus, that is, it is not from the Cactaceae family. The round cactus is probably the fishhook barrel cactus (Ferocactus wislizenii). The picture was taken in Tohono Chul Park in Tucson, Arizona.

This photo is "spot on" correct for the Santa Rita clone as I know it. Well done! There do appear to be a lot of imposters out there masquerading as "Santa Rita".

I agree with you Menk, most if not all of the imposters usually turn out to be Opuntia gosseliniana.
