I have these too. I call them String of Pearls. I did not know that they bloomed. I an going to pay special attention to mine from now on. I want to see these blooms on mine. Thanks for posting this photo.
I have two of these, one at work and the one shown at home. Both of them are in a SSE facing window at which they get a little direct sun each day. Oddly enough the one at work never bloomed during the last 2 years, yet the one at home bloomed in October and now again after almost 6 month.
I'll repot the one at work and see if that will kickstart a little blooming.
We purchased a string of pearls plant from our local nursery a few weeks ago. So far it appears it has not grown at all.
But it does not look like it is dying yet.
We live in vancouver canada. Any helpful tips? Does it take very long to get started?
Look forward to replies with thanks.
I just joined Dave's Garden today Sept.11/04.
lorrandan,
first of welcome to Daves Garden.
IMHO String of Pearls can be a slow starter, my recommendation is to keep it in a bright location, water regularly and mist every few days.
