    I couldn't figure out how to get both pictures into one thread so here is the closeup of the unknown pink flowers.

    My guess is a Lychnis, possibly a double flowered L. viscaria.

    Jersy guy might be right. There's a double lychnis viscaria named ‘Splendens Plena’. Here's a couple links - the frist one is a picture

    I think both of you are right-I recognise the name lychnis-so that's probably what I planted. It Certainly looks like the picture. THANKS!

    Kat,

    To get both pictures into one thread, you have to use photo editing software and paste a second picture in with your original, then save the two together. For an example, see my post on our pond: http://davesgarden.com/showthread/24730.html
