| I have a weeping bottlebrush in my yard. This is the third year and an hoping that it blooms soon. It had one bloom last year, but I think the deer ate part of it. There is quite a bit of new growth on it now. Is it normal for it to take this long to get established and start blooming? |

| I was wondering the same thing. I have one that I planted three years ago. It is getting quite large and still has never bloomed. |

| Yup, they are buds rylaff.
Over here in Sydney we have heaps of bottlebrush, some growing wild others of many forms in gardens all over. Most are pretty tough but some like extra watering to do well.
Birds love the flowers and if you trim it after flowering it will bush up nicely (just cut behind the spent flowers) unless you want seed of course!

| I live in North Cyprus and have one of these trees. It is in full bloom, however I notice on some of the branches, there are lots of hard bud like clusters. Does anyone know what these are?

| I did trim mine last year and it bloomed twice. However, I have one out front that I have never trimmed and it also bloomed twice last year. Go figure. |
