    you think?

This is growing in my friend's yard and is so striking. The blooms can stand up to 4 feet and the leaves are huge. Very fleshy, ornamentally marked stems and the leaves bend and crimp very easily. My friend tells me it stinks when the sun hits it. I have a few in water in my house and there is no odor emanating from them now.

I love those too!! I actually had a guy trade me one of each for poison ivy and oak! I forgot them outside in pots and they croaked, but that was my strangest trade ever! LOL

It is too bad it smells Ma Vie, for it really is beautiful! I have 4 flowers in a huge vase in my living room and they are so striking. No odor at all. There was no odor at her house either. But Peg said when the sun hits them, that is when they stink.

Ulrich, what a great site. Baa, mine look just like your Dracunculus vulgaris pictures. They are very big and so dramtic.

    thanks all.
