Ox-Eye Daisy, Field Daisy, Marguerite, Moon Daisy Leucanthemum vulgare
This plant was growing in a pasture near Salem, Oregon, and is now in my flower bed in about half sun. It blooms earlier than the Shasta Daisy which is just behind and to the left. The leaves on the Shasta are different, you can see both here.
I love these daisies...they are everywhere here. I posted a pic of mine on the identification threads and just learned what the are called. I have little seedlings blooming the daisies all in my yard near where I planted one I dug up last year. I almost hate to cut the grass...haha but DH says they have to go. The one I snitched from the roadside has tripled in size and is full of flowers and buds.
When I first moved into my home these were in the lawn. I have since moved them and have them all over. Mine like full sun and no extra care is given.
My neighbor and I are naturalizing them on a slope that is hard to grow things on. This year after a fall scattering of seeds, we had a bushel full of them.
