I've just fallen in love with this plant bought at local nursery in San Diego. I have it inside and will keep inside for holidays., and then to a spot in my yard with sun. I have clay soil but will amend with composte and Gropower. I'm wondering about the water issue. If I place along my fence where Cape Honeysuckle can grow like a weed I would have to hand water, but wouldn't mind if after first season this requires less water. Is this the case, or should I plant near irrigation where it would get water regularly henceforth. Obviously I'm an amature and new to CA and the abundance of plants I only used to read about.
