I love Passion flowers. Have three, but here in zone 5 they have to be kept over winter in the greenhouse. However i bought P. Incarnata this early summer and am going to take a cutting to be safe, then plant it in the garden as it is supposed to be hardy to zone 5. Your photos are very nice. Donna

This plant was photographed in Orlando in the early spring, after a winter that got well into the 20s. I don't think this plant had any problems.

P. Incense is supposed to be hardy to zone 6, but whether it retains it foliage or not, I don't know. I would think it would in your zone monterey. Beautiful pictures, both of you.

Thank you Brugie! That's not my pic (wish it was)it's out of Logee's catalog. It helps to see a plant for reference. Thanks again.

Incense does well for me here in z8b. We get several nights in the low 20's every winter and the vine always returns nicely with lots of root suckers. It will hold it's leaves with the protection of a porch overhang.
