and I made the prettiest planters with them. The chairs were being tossed out by a friend and I scarfed them up! The chairs have high backs where the cushions used to be. They are about 1 foot tall by 8 inches wide. The bottem of the backs where the legs and seat were screwed in make an "L" shape. I screwed the backs into my wooden fence and placed a flower pot in the L. Wow! what a beautiful flower pot holder. Everyone comments on them. When I tell them what it is they just can't believe it!
