Is this plant a bienial, i have two plants in the shade and neither have done much except to grow leaves. are they in a dormant stage now in summer since they bloom in the winter.
This plant is a long-lived perennial. It takes a while to get established before blooming unless you bought very large plants. Here is the old quote about perennials: First year they sleep, second year they creep, third year they leap. They are not dormant now, and would appreciate water during dry spells. They bloom in February or March here in Missouri, depending on how soon it warms up. Hope this helps a little.
