Dypsis leptocheilos

This is one of the better looking examples of this species in Southern California, in South Coast Plaza, near Irvine

I say this reluctantly, but these palms are now dead. They got a disease or something and everything on the top, including the trunk is rotten.

I've seen some very nice specimens in encinitas, Ca by Jungle Music Palms and Cycads. Next Time I'm down there I'll will have to get a picture of them and post it
