Punch holes with a can opener that makes triangular holes every inch or so along the botton sides of a 3# coffee can. Do not punch any holes in the bottom of it. Add 9 charcoal briquettes, squirt with some charcoal lighter fluid, sit it on a fireproof surface and light it. Take a whole fryer chicken (not cut up) rub some cooking oil on it, add seasonings, double wrap it in heavy foil with all the open edges comming together at the leg end of the chicken. When the coals are turning grey put the chicken in the can, leg end up. It takes about 2 hours to cook. Note added later: 3 1/2# chicken is just the right size.
