Pat... it is the same colour all the way through... however, when the light shines on it the colours tend to fade... or look darker... or different.. it's a very difficult lily to get a good shot of for that reason. One that is clear and conscise in colouring. But one of my favorites too... soooo deep... and perhaps because it does alter it's colour like a chameleon in red... I enjoy it even more.
