Here's the new forum. I'll pull this thread once we get other threads started.

So, go ask questions and let's get an FAQ going. One question per thread, please, and make your subject line as descriptive as possible.

Dave -

I assume you just wanted the questions, to which answers will be given. I have answers to all of my questions with one exception, but this is for future members correct?

Thanks for the quick formation of something I think will make it easier for new members

Dave, If we oldie members post a question that we ourselves already know the answer to can we go ahead and post the answer as well? Maybe within the same post as the question?
Like the question and the answer all in one post?

Or has this question already been answered? LOL

Ok good, I was starting to wonder if it was going to be left up to the staff to answer all the questions...and I thought O man that means MORE work for them!
Can't wait to help out.

Yes, this is working out really nicely! I like the way this is working. When one person doesn't give enough information, a second person can easily come along and add to the original question. This is a very good idea. (And, we finally get that FAQ that folks have clamoured for all this time!).

I added a link to this forum from the menu, BTW.

No Shoe, Dave said it is ok for us to answer the questions. We can even ask a question and answer it all within the same post if we think it will be helpful to new members.

I saw where you had answered my question then deleted it LOL

From what I read above I read it as "ask dave a question". Also, posters that know the answer can answer their own question. But you see, I'm easily confused!

I'll wait and see how this works.

(Mollybee...hope you at least saw I knew the answer, too! Nyah nyahhhh...! ;>)

It's tremendously helpful if those who know the answers will help us post them. I'll do my best, as I'm sure Dave will, to monitor and answer the harder-to-answer questions :) But otherwise, feel free to dive in.

This is wonderful.
I was going to write a question and post it in general discussion. This is better?

I live at the shore.
Many people have told me to use kelp around the flower beds.
Do you just put the kelp down or just use the water?

Sandy, That type of question is best posted in the Garden Talk forum. This forum is for using Dave's Garden (the website) and not for gardening-specific questions.

Hope that helps!

Sorry I can't help ya on this though, but I know someone else can.

C'mon y'all - surely you remember the questions you had when you were a new member (or the typical questions that arise when new members are brave enough to ask!)

Just be sure to have only one question per thread, double-check to be sure it hasn't already been asked, and that it's fairly general (applies to more than just one situation or user.)

You cannot post until you register, login and subscribe.
