For the last two days I noticed a small caterpillar munching on one of my elephant ears but I didn't have my camera with me so I didn't get a picture. He was beautiful, black with blue stripes running lenghtwise down each side. I have seen a picture of this cat somewhere before but now I can't find it. Sadly, he has now disappeared. I have a strong suspicion that he was some sort of butterfly. He was shaped just like the monarch cats that I've had in my yard and his behaviour was a lot like theirs. He just didn't seem to have the sneaky nature of the bad cats that are eating my brugs--I know they're there but I can't find them ;-)
I hope he didn't become someone's lunch. Mary Ann
