China Rose, Tea Rose, Bengale Rose 'Louis Philippe' Rosa
Hybridized by Guérin, 1834
Additional info: (aka Crown, Florida Rose, Louis Philippe d'Angers, President d'Olbecque)
\\\'Louis Phillippe\\\' offers small roses (about 2\\\") but they look and smell wonderful.
A beautiful picture. The few roses I have had this Summer on my 'Louis Phillippe' seem a deeper red, and the white spot seems smaller and whiter, but my plant is still in a pot, so is not yet in full sun, as I couldn't keep it watered enough in a pot in full sun here in Northcentral Florida, zone 8b, to survive the Summer. But this coloration is quite lovely, and I will sacrifice the deeper color to get more blooms after I plant it out in a raised bed in much more sun this Fall.
