Can anyone tell me if planting an annual vine like blackeyed susan, etc. would harm my climbing Blaze rose? The rose is in heavy bloom April-June and after that I would like to have more color at that spot. Its at the side of my porch in the front and the rose takes up the entire side so I dont want a big, permanent vine competing with my rose but I do need a little color. I thought something twining thru my rose would be pretty. THANKS!!!
