The first bloom of the year is usually the best, depending on weather sometime from May - June. Blooms begin to decline after 5 or 6 weeks and it should be sheared severely to promote dense growth and rebloom in late summer.
Isn't that beautiful! I got some cuttings a couple of years ago and although they are growing, they look nothing like that. They are in full sun and sandy soil, but the blooms are scarce. And they are even hardy here! I hope mine look like those someday. Wonderful setting too! I love the way it is growing out over the walkway.
