These grow in the ground here in Northern California, but also do well in containers. They are not picky and will grow in sun or shade and will tolerate dry or moist conditions. If you have yours in the house and it is wilting, it probably needs additional bright light in a sunny window and some additional moisture. Or if you have been watering it a great deal and the soil is soggy, you should probably unpot it and replace the soil, allow it to settle in and then resume moderate watering, letting it dry between waterings.
